The fares shown below are for the full 2024/2025 academic year and can be paid in full when booking (between June and August 2024) or as two separate payments (instalment 1 between June and August 2024 and instalment 2 in February 2025).
There is a sibling discount of 15% off the 2nd child’s fare, and 30% off any additional child travelling to and/or from Headington Rye Oxford or MCS.
Purchase of the Zonal pass gives Senior School pupils complete flexibility of being able to use any stop for that service within lower zones. For example, a Zone 4 pass enables travel in Zones 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. Whilst this will also be possible for Prep pupils in some circumstances, this will be subject to discussion and agreement between the School and parents.
It is also possible to book at no extra cost and subject to demand:
- on to separate routes for the morning and afternoon, e.g. Route 3 in the morning, Route 2 in the afternoon
- on to two different services where pupils need to travel to different home locations during the week e.g. Route 4 Monday to Wednesday and Route 6 on Thursday and Friday, to be approved by your child’s school.
There is a one-off, £7.50 card issue fee for the issuing of your child’s bus pass. This is a one-off payment for the year i.e. only one payment to apply even if paying in 2 instalments. A charge will be payable for lost or damaged bus passes.

If an AM & PM pass is required, and the zone required for AM travel is different to that of PM travel, the higher price will apply e.g. if Zone 3 is required in the morning and Zone 4 is required in the afternoon, the price (before any applicable discounts) would be £2086.
